Within this Art Deco inspired contemporary home guests have a choice of two luxuriously appointed rooms accessed by an elevator; a Super King ensuite room with own balcony and a Queen Room with private bathroom, each with heated towel rails, fridge/mini bar, tea-coffee making facilities, hairdryers, robes, beach towels, and TV/DVD. In your rooms you will find fresh home-made biscuits, fresh garden flowers, fresh ground coffee, fine teas and a carafe of complimentary port as well as a selection of NZ wines available to purchase from your Mini Bar fridge. We have WIFI and also a dedicated Guest laptop.
The house is located on the highest hill in Whangamata (Coromandel Peninsula) and has spectacular 180 views out to the Pacific Ocean, offshore islands and also overlooking the town and estuary. Your hosts Kathryn and Peter are keen golfers and walkers and Peter is an enthusiastic fisherman. Although well known as one of New Zealand's top surfing spots, Whangamata is a fisherman's paradise. There are well priced fishing trips available or Peter can take you to his favourite angling spot. Clad in a luxuriant subtropical rainforest and fringed by a necklace of sandy beaches, the Coromandel Peninsula is a paradise for people who enjoy the outdoors so if you fancy a walk in the rain forest there are several good walks nearby. There's even two golf courses catering for the keen golfers.
Kathryn's sumptuous breakfasts are a real wow factor but so too are the views from the dining room - and it's a great way to start your day. If you would like to get to know Kathryn and Peter better you may choose to join them for one of Kathryn's delicious evening meals (prior arrangement). Emphasis will always be on the freshest choices available and produce is sourced and grown locally where possible.
Make sure you spend 2/3 nights at Pacific View and make it your base whilst you explore the rest of The Coromandel Peninsula.
