We are located only 5 minutes from Whakatane on the sunny coast of the Bay of Plenty, North Island, New Zealand, and are easily accessible by road and air. The Pacific Coast Highway Tourist route from Auckland takes in Tauranga, Gisborne, Napier and Hastings, with Whakatane approximately at the halfway point.
Out on the edge of the countryside, we are in an ideal place for many outdoor activities with quiet and safe roads to cycle, local horse riding and a variety of walking routes well away from the traffic and activity of Whakatane town. On the other hand, if you don't feel that energetic how about a bit of river or sea fishing, maybe you will be lucky enough to catch your supper to BBQ back at the house.
Whatever you may decide to do, you could always finish your day at the nearby hot springs, relaxing in the wonderful hot water or simply kick back on your deck back at The Garden House with a glass of wine or your favourite book in the evening sunshine.
