Turn off SH 2 in the Pikowai cliffs region halfway between Te Puke & Whakatane, and follow the sealed country road for 3/4 km to find our lovely home, cottage and garden beside the Mimiha stream.
There are great views from the upstairs, 2-bedroom (queen and twin) Bed & Breakfast suite, and it's all yours! It is separated from the main house by a covered carport where you can park your car. TV is installed in both rooms, and DVD, and there's a fully equipped galley kitchen where you can prepare simple meals, and you can use our BBQ. We will offer you drinks suitable to the time of day when you arrive, and can sell you a bottle also.
You will enjoy fresh, home grown food for breakfast including home-made muesli, fresh fruit, beautiful home-made yoghurt, seasonal delights like avocado and tomatoes with bagels, croissants or a choice of breads to toast, and our very special jams and jellies.
Our idyllic country garden is the perfect place to relax, picnic, read or enjoy the native bird life, the lake, play petanque or take a spa. You can walk along the unspoilt beach, up the no-exit country road or climb the wonderful hills. There is fruit on the trees for you to pick, and a pig to feed.
If you prefer to look after yourself, choose Mimiha Cottage which is built on its own site beside the Mimiha stream. A two-bedroom cottage, which is fully equipped, sunny and warm, wheelchair accessible and comfortably, tastefully furnished. One queen room en suite to the bathroom, and bunks in the other, the beds are new and comfortable. Lots of good space for lounging and living, with TV, excellent gas heating, large dining table, everything provided including your first breakfast. Outside a paved courtyard, trellissing and shade covers protect and provide privacy as you BBQ, dine and relax. And you have use of all our facilities as above. There's a minimum 2-night stay @ $320 double, then $100 per night, $20-$40 per extra person per night.
