Indigenous Trails offers a wide range of tours to destinations throughout New Zealand that normally aren't on traditional touring routes, meeting the demands of travellers wanting to experience something different, personal, cultural and of course... the natural beauty and people of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, Indigenous Trails tour experiences can be tailor-made to suit all clientele.

Catering for large group numbers or smaller specialised parties, Indigenous Trails offer a variety of 2-5 day tours of the Central North Island and the Bay of Islands, 'Action' packed Rotorua day tours, 'Exclusive' Cultural Interactive 'Cruise Ship Day' tours of Tauranga and Rotorua. 10-20 day North and South Island tours as well as Educational and Environmental programmes are offered.

Indigenous Trails is the New Zealand programme tour coordinator for a Global Volunteer network provider with offices based in 38 countries around the world. In keeping with our commitment to protecting New Zealand's environment, Indigenous Trails' association with this organisation enables it to become involved in environmental conservation and restoration projects that foster the awareness and importance of protecting this beautiful country. Therefore, we invite our guests on tour to participate in small environmental activities along our tour trails.

As a Maori tour operator and provider of 'off the beaten track' experiences throughout Aotearoa, Indigenous Trails adheres to the principles of 'Kaitiakitanga' or Guardianship - we are here for a short moment of time but the land remains.
