CONTACT
All our guides are genuine local marine naturalists with university degrees, are fully qualified dive masters, and share a deep love of all marine mammals especially dolphins that frequent the ocean in the Bay area.
Both our current skippers, Brandon and Rika, are former tutors of marine studies at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic in Tauranga, and are dive master instructors.
We are the only Dolphin eco-tour operator with our own dedicated booking centres/shops in both locations at Tauranga and Mount Maunganui for your convenience. Our qualified professional staff are also marine biologists and naturalists, so that when it comes to giving a wealth of knowledge, experience, and information to our customers, you just cannot get better service anywhere!
Dolphin Seafaris and our vessel 'Guardian' is fully licensed to operate with a special marine mammal permit issued by the NZ Department of Conservation (DOC).
We work very closely with the DOC to ensure that the interests and welfare of the Bay of Plenty dolphins is paramount and we operate to the full set of guidelines set down by them for interaction by humans with wild dolphins.
We are an eco-tourism operator, which means we respect these wild animals and their space and our clients must understand that. Swimming with the dolphins is a wonderful privilege.
We do not have any age restrictions for children and families to join our tours.
