TAUPO TANDEM SKYDIVING is the original and currently the largest tandem skydiving operation in New Zealand and the World. We are situated on the shores of Lake Taupo atr the centre of North Island in the beautiful volcanic plateau of the Tongariro National Park.
Operating daily, year round (weather permitting) since 1992, we have the capacity to skydive up to 220 tandem students a day. Exiting the plane up to 15000 feet (over one minute in freefall), you have the opportunity to experience the incomparable exhilaration of freefalling. A spectacular parachute ride over the stunning background of the Lake Taupo region and the snow-capped volcanoes ends the adventure.
We currently employ around 28 staff in different positions ranging from digital video editing, customer service to tandem instructor. We take an active interest in furthering the career of our staff.
Taupo Tandem Skydiving adheres to strict standards ensuring customer and employee safety. We are approved by the New Zealand Parachute Federation (NZPF) and our aircraft are operated and maintained in accordance with the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rules. The excellent service and high standards we have strived to maintain have also contributed to Taupo Tandem Skydiving achieving an exceptional QUALMARK ENDORSED ACTIVITY rating.
