Rafting New Zealand is centrally located in the alpine village of Turangi, Southern End Lake Taupo. We offer rafting trips to cater for all levels, from grade 2 scenic float trips on the beautiful Tongariro River through to extreme grade 5 action on the Wairoa and Kaituna Rivers. A major point of difference for us, is the development and incorporation of Maori and New Zealand culture into our trips, Maori myths and legends are told, local flora and fauna are identified and our kiwi friendly hospitality is second to none. We have recently invested significant amount of capital into the creation of our new base. Here rafting clients are treated too a much higher level of facilities than one would usually expect. With a warm, inviting atmosphere, ozone espresso coffee on offer and post trip amenities, such as hot solar powered showers, the Rafting New Zealand experience is the complete package.
Rafting the majestical waters of the beautiful Tongariro River Daily, we supply you with top quality river apparel, hot chocolate and chocolate whilst on the river and a light snack after your trip. All our staff are fully qualified rafting professionals so your safety is first and foremost. We were the first rafting company to recieve the internationally recognised Qual Mark award setting the standard in safety and service.
After your trip view your rafting trip photo's on a variety of plasma screen t.v's and have the opportunity to purchase a CD of photo's, or purchase an item from a selection of our own merchandise.
In summer we depart twice daily for both the grade 2 and grade 3 sections of the Tongariro River.
Winter depart once daily. Minimum of 2 persons required, and pricing is flexible with group bookings.
