Flyfishtaupo.com personalises fly fishing excursions and takes great pride in preparing unique trips that leave our clients with lifetime memories. Each trip is planned and specifically tailored. Our guides are very experienced, they have great people skills, loads of patience, and an ability to create friendships with clients that can last a lifetime.
We specialise in fly fishing however we do offer trout fishing on Lake Taupo if you wish to try your luck with either trolling, harling or jigging and have relationships with charter operators who have years of experience on Lake Taupo.
We only work with professionals when we require helicopters and rafts and my association with these selected companies provides me with a high level of confidence that you will have a truly magical experience.
All fly fishing trips include pick up from accommodation, transportation in a modern air conditioned 4x4 vehicle quality waders, rods, reels, lines, leaders and flies., licenses, full tuition for the novice, local knowledge and advice for the expert. Meals and refreshments are also provided.
The Lake Taupo district is located in the centre of New Zealand's North Island; about 3 hours drive south of Auckland International Airport. Lake Taupo is rich in volcanic and cultural heritage and within a short drive has more sightseeing, adventure and leisure activities than anywhere else in New Zealand.
We can provide a number of non-fishing options for partners including hiking the World Heritage Tongariro National Park, boutique shopping, art galleries and wine tasting tours. Play golf on the world-renowned Wairakei course, two Taupo courses, and a soon to open Jack Nicklaus signature course, or take your pick from numerous adventure activities or cultural tours both in Taupo and Rotorua.
