Experienced guides help you have a safe, enjoyable trip while providing an entertaining and valuable insight in to the history of Maori, early settlers and the local ecology. Our five day Stewart Island guided walk starts in the sleepy fishing village of Riverton. We travel by light plane to Mason Bay, then walk, water taxi and sea kayak our way across the island to Halfmoon Bay. Visit the open sanctuary of Ulva Island and fly back to Invercargill. $1495 The Rakiura Track is one of New Zealand's Great Walks. The loop track traverses country with a rich diversity of trees, ferns, and perching orchids. Along the way visit many historical sites with the chance to see a variety of sea and forest birds. The circuit follows the coast, climbs over a 300 metre high forested ridge, and skirts the sheltered shores of Paterson Inlet. $995 The Waitutu Track is a four day all inclusive guided walk starting in Tuatapere. Follow the south coast, sweeping through bush and beach to the historic Port Craig Village, then walk along the old forest tram line and over a series of spectacular viaducts. Explore the stunning Waitutu Forest before heading inland by jetboat up the Wairaurahiri River and over the mythical Lake Hauroko, where the remains of a maori princess are said to rest in the cleft of a rock. $1395 The Dusky Track offers an opportunity for fit experienced trampers to explore Fiordland backcountry at its rawest.
