Adrift is an Outdoor Adventure company specialising in guided adventures through the Whanganui and Tongariro National Parks. Based in at National Park Village in the heart of the Central Plateau of the North Island, we are surrounded by two of the world's most beautiful National Parks. We are a personal and professional organisation that can tailor our guided adventures to suit your individual needs.
The Tongariro National Park has Dual World Heritage status and includes The Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Northern Circuit which are part of the Department of Conservation 'Great Walks' network. The three active andesitic volcanoes, Mt Tongariro (1967m), Mt Ngauruhoe (2291m) and Mt Ruapehu (2797m), are majestic and dominate the National Park.
The Whanganui National Park has rugged terrain covered in lush native forest with the Whanganui River flowing through it. The river from Taumarunui to Pipiriki is part of the Department of Conservation 'Great Walk' network. The Canadian Canoes used, are well suited for the rapids and the long still water of the gorges and they hold plenty of gear. Luxuries are a must!
We offer the Tongariro Alpine Crossing as well as a special Sunrise Tongariro Alpine Crossing product and other walks in the National Park ranging from 2 hours in duration up to multi day walks. In the Whanganui we offer 1, 3 or 5 day guided canoe adventures.
