Kaituna Grade 5 Featuring the awesome 7 metre Tutea Falls. The pool drop nature of this river means it is suitable for adventurous beginners. Try it if you dare. Location - 391 State Highway 33, Mourea, Rotorua. Allow 2 hrs (excl travel). Trip times - Summer: 9.00am, 12.30pm, 3.30pm Winter: 10.00am, 2.00pm. Minimum age - 13 yrs
Rangitaiki Grade 3 - 4 An ideal river for first time rafters. Fun, excitement and sheer solitude, without the steep drops experienced on the Grade 5 rivers. Location - State Highway 38 Murupara, 45 mins from Rotorua, 1 hr from Taupo. Allow 4 hrs (excl travel). Trip time 11.30am. Minimum age - 10 yrs
Rangitaiki Scenic Grade 2 Great for families and those looking for a more laid back experience. Spectacular scenery, cascading waterfalls & sheer rock gorges clad in native bush Location - State Highway 38 Murupara, 45 mins from Rotorua, 1 hr from Taupo. Allow 4 hrs (excl travel time). Trip time 11.30am. Minimum age - 5 yrs
Wairoa Grade 5 Wild turbulent rapids and exciting drops produce top white water action. This dam release river runs selected Sundays from September to May. Location - Ruahihi Road, 20 mins from Tauranga. 2 hrs from Auckland. Allow 3 hrs. Trip times 10.00am and 1.00pm. Minimum age - 13 yrs
Tongariro Grade 3 Enjoy this scenic river with its crystal clear waters and abundance of trout. The rapids are fun without being too terrifying, making the Tongariro a great trip for everyone. Location - Atirau Road Turangi, 1 hr from Taupo, 2 hrs from Rotorua Allow 4 hrs. Trip times Summer - 9.00am and 2.00pm, Winter - 12.00pm. Minimum age - 10 yrs
