Hells Gate is New Zealand's most active geothermal park, with boiling mud pools, a mudvolcano and the southern hemisphere's only hot water waterfall. Hells Gate prides itself onbeing interactive. Take a guided tour and experience the unique history of Hells Gate as a place of sacred healing and early spa culture. Get hands-on as you travel around the park and learn to carve as the Maori people do. Wai Ora Spa is New Zealand's only geothermal mud bath experience and offers the traditional and rare Maori massage style known as Mirimiri, which relaxes both the body and the mind though use of Maori karakia (prayer). An experience at this tourism-award winning complex will leave guests relaxed and rejuvenated. Shuttle services are available with pick ups three times a day: 9am, 1pm and 5pm.
