Ploughman's Restaurant and Garden Bar, has been built on an old English, Tudor style and theme.

Set in the Rainbow Point, Two mile Bay area, Ploughman's brings the feeling of being a destination while being on the fringe of the township.

Ploughman's has seating inside for 120 guests, with the outside garden area being able to accommodate an additional 80 people.

The garden which has been lovingly planted and boxed to closely resemble an old English garden is set just off the main decking area, where over the summer months is extremely popular for meetings with friends and family for a casual brunch, lunch or dinner.

There is plenty of parking for every one and the restaurant is easy to spot from SH1 only 3 minutes from town heading south.
The food style at Ploughmans is classic with a contemporary feel, mixing traditional English dishes with more pacific flavoured cuisine.

Classic's like our roasts and pot pie, fresh battered fish and chips, kidneys and bacon, are all favourites, and for people looking for that little bit extra we do Cervena, a Seafood Risotto, Fillet Steak in port wine jus, Thai fish cakes, a Seafood platter and of course a hearty Ploughmans platter. The desserts are fantastic with the Banoffie Pancakes and the Apple Pie and Baked Alaska being among the favoured.

Ploughmans does a Brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays starting from 9.30am and running through until midday where the lunch service kicks off. Diner starts at 5.00pm nightly and ends when everyone finished.

The bar area is fitted with a large open fire place for those colder nights, (not that we get many of those in Taupo.) You can chat with the locals watch the tally and enjoy our large selection of single malts and imported beers.

Ploughmans prides itself on it friendly service and ambiance as well as providing something for everyone.
