Come join our Kiwi family on our 500 acre deer farm in the heart of Manawahe, near Whakatane, for an unforgettable farmstay. We are only 10 minutes away from Lake Rotoma, a great spot for swimming, trout fishing and other water sports. Meet our farm animals, family pets and bottle fed lambs and kids in the springtime.
If you enjoy walking in the bush and listening to the native birds, getting involved in day to day farm life, we can provide these activities for you to enjoy. We can even do a camping combination in the warmer months. We can also provide a variety of fishing options, an evening fly fishing on lake Rotoma or a local river or out into saltwater catching fish that tempt the tastebuds.
We can also be your base for exploring the Bay of Plenty such as White Island tours - a tour to an active volcano - swimming with the dolphins off the coast of Whakatane and jet boating on the Rangitiki river. We can arrange these activities for you at your request as well as for trips to Rotorua's geothermal wonderlands and Maori arts and crafts. As we are central to Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane, we can arrange pick up to and from the airport.
We have excellent and homely accommodation with two large bedrooms, both queen size beds. Both rooms have an additional foldout bed and large bathroom with a shower and seperate bath.
Rates: Two double rooms - $90 per room, $110 with additional single foldout bed (includes a full breakfast)
Lunch and dinner is by prior arrangement - $18 per adult lunch, $28 per adult dinner, children half price (sample our home-grown vegetables and delicious meals).
