We provide a journey of discovery and adventure or if you prefer, just a relaxed and chilled out dolphin encounter.
While our aim each day is to locate, interact and swim with dolphins, we also offer other activities en-route - snorkelling, swimming or simply relaxing onboard.
In addition to this we serve up a traditional kiwi lunch and provide refreshments throughout the day.
We seek to provide you with an unforgettable experience that has a minimal impact on the marine environment. Every Dolphin Blue tour is a unique adventure - we don't have a fixed course, it all depends on the weather and on where dolphins may be found on any given day.
Avoid the crowds
Passenger numbers are limited to 12, so that your interaction with dolphins and other marine life is greatly enhanced. This ensures your experience is peaceful and unhurried.
Our vessel
Those who know boats will appreciate Commander I, as a classic. At 54 feet she was built in 1967 using native New Zealand timbers and employing the finest craftsmanship. Onboard, her character is one of comfort. She is spacious with large windows, plenty of deck space and full amenities, perfectly suited to relaxed cruising. This allows you to fully enjoy the tranquillity of being at sea.
