Classic Flyers is one of the few aviation operators specifically licensed and approved by the Civil Aviation Authority to offer commercial pleasure flights in classic aircraft. Our rapidly expanding stable of aircraft currently includes two open cockpit planes, a Boeing Stearman and a Grumman Agcat. (Have a look at our website www.classicflyersnz.com to see all our aircraft) The Stearman carries one passenger while the Agcat carries two side by side in the front cockpit. The Stearman has a limited aerobatic capability but aerobatics are not compulsory!

Also available for a fully aerobatic experience is the CT4b, the aircraft used by the Royal New Zealand Air Force to train our pilots of tomorrow. This is a closed cockpit aircraft and can be booked for more leisurely flights if aerobatics are not wanted; an ideal little aircraft for enjoying the local scenery. A Cherokee 6 (6 seater enclosed aircraft) is also available for local sight seeing flights. We will be adding to these aircraft in the near future; check our availability on the Classic Flyers website. The CAA approve our pilots all of who are all commercially licensed.

The Bay of Plenty provides a stunning visual panorama in which to enjoy pleasure flights and flying in Classic Aircraft provides a unique opportunity to experience the local scenery at a lower and slower level. Views of The Mount, Matakana Island and the main beaches of resort are particularly good on the 'eyeball' and through the camera lens. Flights are sensibly priced to enable the widest cross section of the public to enjoy the experience.
