The Ko Tane Maori Cultural Experience will introduce you to our unique culture. On arrival you will be given a brief introduction to the Maori culture, and be greeted by our guide. Then you will be conducted by your guide to our replica Maori village, where you will be greeted by a traditional warrior's challenge (wero). You will then tour the village, where the guide will tell you about aspects of our unique culture. Your visit concludes with an interactive kapa haka (Maori performing arts) presentation, where you will be encouraged to take part in a haka (for men) or poi (for women) performance. After the performance you will view the hangi oven where your dinner is being cooked in the earthoven, a 3 course hangi dinner will be served in our licenced restaurant where you have the oppertunity to interact with the Ko Tane performers.
