Visit four different destinations around the beautiful Matamata district as well as the Hobbiton Movie Set. A true taste of New Zealand rural community life.
This all day excursion package starts with a visit to the Kaimai Cheese Company (cheese factory) for morning tea. Continue to a Horse Stud (breeding mares, stallions and foals) before being transferred to The Shires Rest to take a tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm. Enjoy a traditional kiwi barbecue at The Shires Rest Caf and then see sheep shearing before bottle feeding the lambs and hand feeding the pet sheep. The tour concludes with a visit to a Dairy Farm to see the cows and watch their milking.
