Auckland's Sky Tower is the tallest building south of the equator and now you can traverse around its 360 degree pergola! Check in "Skywalk Control" located at P3 at the base of the Sky Tower, Sky City, corner of Federal and Victoria Streets, Auckland. Gear up and make your way to the observation deck to experience a whole new perspective!
Adventurers experience the heightened sensations of being outside the Sky Tower's observation decks on a 1.2m walkway, with absolutely nothing on either side except a 192m drop off! There is no handrail and it might well seem that there is very little to prevent you falling off!
SkyWalk 360 is an adventure activity with a very low real risk, but very high perceived risk. An overhead rail provides for individual safety lines to move with you as you climb. These are secured to you whilst still in a gated safe zone - once on the cableway it is impossible for you to detach. Before the group can move onto the walkway, a full safety briefing is given, including use of equipment and what to do in certain scenarios.
The inwards perspective on the Sky Tower at this height is fresh and interesting. It is easy to look straight down between the steel grating to the tiny figures of people and vehicles far below. A somewhat "airy" feeling becomes associated with ones feet and even the Harbour Bridge seems miniscule!
From check-in to completion, the entire experience will take around two hours and a photographic service will collect images with the sparkling Waitemata Harbour as the backdrop of your SkyWalk 360 experience.
Book your SkyWalk 360 online and get ready to experience a whole new perspective of Auckland City! We operate every day, except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day, weather permitting. You don't have to bring anything with you as we provide all the equipment you need.
This is an adventure you won't want to miss!
